The theme is based on the Dungeons & Dragons game, with elements from the board game found everywhere on the reels. In the background, the Fortress of Fortunes can be seen in the distance, with mountains and rocky areas everywhere around the reels. Varick, Raelyn and Tordek are the three heroes that the player has to choose from, before he is allowed to enter the game. That hero will represent the player in the game, just like it would've done in the board game. It will be used as a symbol on the reels, alongside the D&D logo, the Wild symbol, the Dice scatter, the Copper Dragon, the Fortress of Fortunes and the playing cards from 10 to A.
The bets of up to 100 coins allow players to win the top jackpot of $62,500. The bets can be as little as $1 though, if only 1 coin is selected. For the biggest chance of winning, the bets should be made on all 20 paylines, with 5 coins of $1 for each one.
The symbol that will award the top jackpot is the Wild, which has to show up 5 times on a single active payline for that to happen. If the player didn't bet the maximum amount possible, the prize will be only 2500 times the line bet, which means that it will be under $12,500.
The same Wild symbol acts as a substitute for many of the other symbols, with the exception being the scatter.
Speaking of the Scatter, it uses the image of the special D&D dice. With five of these scatters, the prize awarded is 10 times the bet made on that spin. With a minimum of three symbols, the player receives free spins as well, between 5 and 10 awarded, depending on how many scatters triggered this feature. There is a multiplier given as well for the duration of the free spins, between 1x and 3x. The payouts offered to the player during these free spins are considerably higher for some of the symbols, up to 50,000 times the line bet for the wild symbol when the maximum bet is used.
