The slot uses graphics which evoke the image of an African safari. The design is well made, with cartoon symbols of various animals and birds that can be found in Africa, and which you can see during a safari if you're lucky. In the background you can see an African vista, with the big sun in the distance, and trees without leaves closer to the viewer. The symbols include images of African wild life for the most part, including gazelles, monkeys, hyenas, zebras, rhinoceros, vultures, leopards, flamingos, giraffes and buffalos. Two special symbols were added as well, one of them using a camera and the other being the profile of a jumping antelope.
In Safari, bets are made with 1 to 90 coins, with the maximum bet using 10 coins for each payline of the game. The value of the coins being fixed at $0.01, the maximum bet possible in the game is $0.90. Bets of that size can result in prizes of 25,000 coins, or $250. The biggest possible jackpot is actually 75,000 though, since prizes won during free spins have a 3x multiplier.
Winning the game's big prize requires an active payline with the five jumping antelope symbols on it. When that happens, the player receives a prize of 2500 times the line bet.
The same antelope symbol is a wild in the game, which substitutes for the majority of the other symbols, the one exception being the scatter. The wild has a 2x multiplier for the winning combinations it contributes to.
The final special symbol used in the game is the camera, which acts as a scatter. Scatters don't have to be on a certain payline in order to be active and to form their winning combos. They simply require that a minimum number of them appear on the screen.
With at least two scatters on the reels, players get cash prizes, starting at 2x the bet and going up to 100x the bet (5 scatters needed).
