The game has a huge focus on things that glitter, which in this case means mostly gems of all kinds, but also gold. The design is very simple and I'd say this is one case where simple is not necessarily better. Since the symbols are so similar, being just gems of different colors and shapes, it would've been great if the surrounding areas were a bit more developed. The design is instead just an abstract dark red when it comes to the area behind the reels, and the effect is not one that I'm crazy about. The design is different, with the initial two reels short (2 symbols on each one), while the rest of the reels have four positions. The symbols of the game include the Wild, the gold coin, the glittery G letter, the diamond, an emerald, pearls, rubies and a few other gems of different colors.
The game uses a betting system which is common for all these games from WMS which have the weird layout and 60 paylines. They all use one coin for every two paylines, so for 60 paylines only 30 coins are needed. The coin denominations used here start at $0.01 and go to $3. The result is a top wager of $90, which will result in payouts of up to $600.
Two symbols are used to trigger the special features which Glitz has to offer. One of them is the wild symbol, which will also trigger the top jackpot that is offered here. Being a wild, this symbol can substitute for all other symbols in the game, and it's going to be especially useful if you get it on the first two reels, where most of the paylines will be influenced by its presence.
The other major feature is the symbol with the gold coin, the trigger of the feature round available in this slot. If you have the last three reels with one gold coin symbol each, you get a round with 5 spins for free. If the gold coin is present on all four positions of the first two reels, you also get 5 spins for free. Finally, 20 spins for free can be won if the player has the first two reels fully covered with gold coins, while the last three reels each have one gold coin.
You're not going to be impressed by the design of this slot, but I'm sure you will enjoy everything else it has to offer.
