In Crocodopolis the theme is somewhat based on crocodiles as the title suggests, but more importantly this is an Egyptian themed game and that's where most of the effort of the designers went. You can find the desert and camels in the background, with small scorpions showing up from time to time. The reels use mostly Egyptian themed symbols, with some of them being card symbols that are appropriately designed for this game. You don't see the usual pyramids in the background of this game, but you do get many other Egyptian references in the symbols. These symbols include the Crocodopolis character (a man with a crocodile head dressed like an Egyptian ruler), the pyramid scatter symbols, the symbol with the Egyptian gods, the scarab, the Ankh cross and the papyrus scroll.
Each of the 25 paylines that the game offers its players allows for a bet of $2 to be made on it. The total comes to $50, if the bet used the maximum coin value and all lines were chosen. The player can decide to reduce the number of lines or to change the coin value, the lowest possible one being $0.01. The top jackpot gives the player 15,000 coins and that means up to $30,000 in this case.
Slide a Wild is the name of a feature which you will learn to like very quickly. The game allows the player to choose a reel that he considers a favorite, and on that reel the wild symbol will appear. It will only appear on that reel and depending on the player's choice the odds that the wild will influence the outcome of a round will change. The closer the wild symbol is to the left side of the screen, the better the chance that a combination will be formed with its help. On the other hand, the closer the wild is to the 5th reel, the better the additional features offered by the wild (better multipliers, more wilds per reel, etc). The wild symbol here is the one with the Crocodopolis character.
The other feature is the pyramid and it's a scatter feature. It will appear on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th reels and when the player has all three he wins 12 free games with multipliers at 2x.
There are many Egyptian themed games out there, but few bring something original with them. Crocodopolis does that and does so in grand style.
