Texas Tea is not about tea, but about oil and about what the state of Texas has to offer. Besides the oil related symbols and features, there are various animals and plants that are usually found in Texas. The game's base symbols include a cactus, flower, bluebonnet, yellow rose, a Cadillac, longhorn steer, an airplane, an armadillo and the logo of the slot. As for the symbols that have special meaning, there are two scatters in the game, one with the Texas Ted character, and the other with an oil derrick.
With coins that have a value of $1, bets in Texas Tea are between $1 and $45, depending on how many of the 45 paylines the player selects. Each payline can receive bets of up to 5 coins. The top jackpot included in the game is $50,000, which is 10,000 times the line bet.
The Texas Tea logo is the one that will award the big prize of the game. It requires five symbols on an active payline. The next paying symbol, the Armadillo, will pay considerably less, with a prize of $500.
The first scatter symbol, Texas Ted, is a typical Texan character, with the cowboy hat, the big moustache and smoking a cigar. This symbol offers prizes when it appears, and a minimum of three are needed for that to happen.
The second scatter symbol, the oil derrick, will trigger the Oil Dividend features of the game. Once again, you need at least three scatters for anything to happen. If the three scatters happen to show up on the same active payline, instead of being spread all over the reels, then the feature that is triggered is Big Oil Derrick.
The Oil Dividend feature round is not really a game, just a prize awarding ceremony. Depending on how many scatters activated this round, the player will receive a prize with a smaller or larger value.
The second feature, called Big Oil Derrick, also pays out depending on the number of scatters that triggered it. In this feature, there is a Texas map, with eight different regions on it. Players get to place between 3 and 5 oil derricks on that map, which will pump out oil and the cash prize will depend on the amount of oil that comes out.
It's an interesting idea, one I haven't seen before. It might be worth checking out just for that.
